Do you take insurance?

We are out-of-network providers, so coverage would depend on out-of-network benefits. Client is responsible for any balance unpaid by insurance company.

What can I expect after an adjustment?

You can expect to feel more connected and balanced within your body and with your surroundings. Most people who come to Soulshine with a particular issue will feel healed beyond the condition they presented with.  When the body is balanced and free of subluxations, the Innate Intelligence within is able to heal the whole self.

How many adjustments will it take?

Care plan is based on individual case. Dr. Lara will work with you to figure out the best care plan based on your needs. Typically, more visits will be required in the beginning. Typical wellness care visits are once a week or once every other week.  We recommend wellness care for optimum health, but it’s not required.  The more in-tune you become with your body the more proactive you become in your care plan.

Do you adjust pregnant women?

Yes.  This is our specialty at Soulshine. We believe that it is vital for pregnant women to be under chiropractic care.  As your body is creating another human being it’s important that your neuro-system is in balance and free and clear of any interference.  Chiropractic can make labor and delivery much easier allowing for a more natural and less complicated birth.

Can you turn breech babies?

While the Webster Technique has been very successful in treating this condition, our intention is to restore balance to your system and create the space within you, which allows the baby to move into the best and most comfortable position.

Do you adjust children?

Yes.  Our gentle approach allows us to adjust babies very effectively.  We believe that it is essential for children to be adjusted particularly at their transitional milestones.  An few examples of these milestones are; Birth, lifting their head, learning to crawl, learning to walk, learning to potty train and pre- and post- vaccination (if you choose to vaccinate)

*Random Fact: The average child will fall an average of 5,000 times before age 5!  The average adult may come to get adjusted after falling only once!

What is BGI?

BGI stands for Bio Geometric Integration.  Bio-Geometric Integration is a conceptual understanding which enhances the chiropractor’s knowledge of the human body. Through understanding the innate geometry of the body, the chiropractor is able to more effectively and gently release the subluxation and assess the effectiveness of the adjustment.

Do you treat/diagnose conditions?

While Dr. Lara and Dr. Phil have the expertise and education to diagnose conditions, our focus is restoring health through the body’s innate intelligence. Chiropractic helps to restore balance and proper function to the body by releasing/ removing subluxations within the neuro-system.  As a result, the body’s innate intelligence is able to adapt and restore normal function.
